The 1600cc Twin Port. Dynamically is a long block engine from Automotive Remains LLC, built for air-cooled Volkswagen applications.

This is a refurbished 1600cc twin-port (or single-port) long block rebuild service, built from your core engine (crankcase, crank, and rods). The service includes align-boring and cleaning the case, regrinding and dynamically balancing the crankshaft, checked forged conrods with new bushes as required, new pistons and rings, new barrels, new main/big-end/camshaft bearings, a new 200mm 12V flywheel with Elring oil seal, a new gasket set, and a refurbished rocker set. Camshaft, pushrod tube, rocker cover, and flywheel options are selectable. An optional turnkey build (single or twin 34 carb) adds new tinware, an alternator kit with stand, fan kit, mechanical fuel pump, fuel lines, distributor, leads, coil, plugs, and an Empi exhaust with J-tubes. A long block typically includes the engine case, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons and cylinders, and cylinder heads assembled as a complete unit, while a turnkey engine adds the components needed to run, such as the carburetor, ignition, and pulley.

Because these engines are mechanically simpler than modern water-cooled designs, many owners choose to replace a worn engine with a fresh 1600cc Twin Port. Dynamically rather than rebuild it piece by piece.
