The 2276cc Long Block is a long block engine from Automotive Remains LLC, built for air-cooled Volkswagen applications.

This 2276cc long block is built entirely from brand-new parts (no exchange required), with an option to build it as a turnkey engine. It’s based on an Autolinea magnesium crankcase (Super Race case available for cranks over 82mm), full-flowed with a remote twist-on oil filter, with an 8mm chromoly head stud kit, a forged counterweighted 8-dowel crankshaft dynamically balanced with the flywheel, a 200mm 12V lightened 8-dowel flywheel, and a 38mm heavy-duty chromoly gland nut. Standard spec includes chromoly I-beam 5.4 inch VW-journal con rods (H-beam upgrade available), an Engle W90-W125 camshaft kit with matched followers (steel straight-cut upgrade available), standard main and rod bearings, a 26mm oil pump, cast pistons and barrels (forged upgrade available), big-valve mild-port cylinder heads, a chromoly steel pushrod set, a bolt-up shaft rocker set (forged 1.25 ratio upgrade available), aluminum rocker covers, and a full Elring gasket kit.
