This 2387cc (94mm x 86mm) turnkey VW engine is built on a new AutoLinea aluminum Super Case with a full-flow oil system, shuffle-pinned center main, and case savers, clearanced for an 86mm forged 4340 chromoly stroker crankshaft (nitrided journals, precision balanced). It uses forged H-beam rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts and 94mm forged AA Performance or Mahle pistons. High-flow CNC-ported cylinder heads (44×37.5mm street valves or 46×37.5mm for high-output builds) are paired with a performance camshaft (typically an Engle FK-89/FK-87 or WebCam 86C) and forged 1.4:1 rocker arms on solid shafts. Fuel delivery is typically dual Weber 48 IDA, 48 IDF, or EMPI HPMX 48 carburetors, with HEI or CB Magnaspark electronic ignition. Cooling includes a doghouse fan shroud, welded fan, complete tin, and a high-capacity oil cooler. Finished with a forged chromoly 200mm lightened flywheel (dynamically balanced), an A1 Sidewinder stainless exhaust with a 1 5/8″ to 1 3/4″ merged header, and a choice of Kennedy Stage 1 or Stage 2 clutch.
