2180cc STREET SPECIAL Porsche Cooling Engine

The 2180cc Street Special Porsche is a turnkey engine from Automotive Remains LLC, built for air-cooled Volkswagen applications.

This 2180cc Street Special is built the same as our 2110cc engine, but with 92mm pistons and thick-wall barrels for extra torque and reliability. It’s a Type 1 engine suited to Beetle, Splitscreen, or Baywindow vehicles (tinware may need altering), built with Porsche cooling and rated at approximately 220hp. Built entirely from new parts as a turnkey engine (no exchange unit needed), and can be built to other displacements on request. Includes a forged crankshaft, performance camshaft kit, chromoly 200mm flywheel, heavy-duty gland nut and washer, forged rods, forged rocker set, deep sump, bolt-on rocker covers, a distributor clamp with filter and linkage kit, an electronic ignition distributor, a Porsche cooling kit, a billet pulley kit, a 40 IDF Weber carb kit, and a silicone HT lead set. Spec can be altered to suit your vehicle on request. Exhaust, clutch kit, and breather box are not included and may be extra. Contact us for full specification details.
