The 1300cc 1600cc Aluminium Crankcase is a long block engine from Automotive Remains LLC, built for air-cooled Volkswagen applications.

This aluminum crankcase is a direct replacement for the standard magnesium case on 1300-1600cc engines, or as a foundation for larger modified builds with 3-rivet/bolt cams. It offers greater rigidity than magnesium, with dual-relief oil pressure galleries, 8mm case savers for the head studs, Baywindow rear mounting points, and compatibility with T1/T2 dipstick tubes and Type 3 oil filler holes. A version pre-machined for 90.5/92mm or 94mm barrels and pistons with 10mm head stud inserts is also available. Weight: 10.35kg.
