This is a fully refurbished Transporter T25 (WBX) 1900cc/2100cc long block, rebuilt from your existing engine or on an exchange basis. The engine is stripped, cleaned, and inspected; the crankcase is line-bored for oversized bearings and painted silver, and the crankshaft is reground as required and dynamically balanced with the flywheel. It’s assembled with new main, big-end, and camshaft bearings, a new camshaft and lifters, a new oil pump, new pistons, barrels, and wrist pins, a new flywheel oil seal and gasket set, new spark plugs, and new cylinder heads, with valve, ring, and clearance specs set to VW tolerances. Optional extras include a performance camshaft, a full engine strip-and-rebuild with cam burn-in and initial tune, tinware painting, and new carbs or fuel pump.
